Love - Art - Disease - Pain - Life-Humanness - "Otherness" In our desensitised society, the artists, the bohemians, poor, discarded, "others", recovering addicts - all are more in touch with their human-ness than the so called mainstream. Despite everything - HUMANNESS, LOVE, LIFE, ART survives. -Jonathan Larson

Eclipse

Red. Fire. Magic. Spark. Burn.
A clangoring crash; a bittersweet cacophony.
Twist a knarled grin until the exploits are absolute.

Tear and dissever. Bleed. Torturous Remains
Left concentrated
On the feculent landscape.

Nowhere. Everywhere. Lost and unredeemed
I stumble and become
One with the debris.

I scream as coersed muteness abounds.
Unguarded and secluded
I agnise Scheol.

Haunted dreams. A visionless face.
Embrace the archaic. Time to evacuate
And actuate the hereafter.

Purview the fulgent patterns of
Light appearing.
Salvation ascertained.

" I hurt you, didn't I?"
"Yeah."
"You hurt me, too."

"...To people living with, living with, living with, not dying from disease..."

Broadway Bears VI was a huge success. Last night they raked in $116,000.00 for the charity, and that's before any of the corporate sponsor money. Target Stores Inc. donates $25,000 on top of that. That's more than last years event, and it fills my heart to burting. Roger bear was auctioned off for $3,400.00 and Belle went for $1,300.00. Adam showed up to present the ursine Roger...and had seen it once before over at AIDA for the signing and photo session. A woman by the name of Stephanie Isenburg is the proud new "mama" of my bear...and I hope that she forever enjoys his company.
I feel like my acknowlegments in the playbill weren't enough, so I have to thank Adam Pascal, Kevin Spencer, Karen Lloyd, Sebastian Arcelus, Anthony Rapp, Daphne Rubin-Vega and Ashley Fleming for helping and assisting in this incredible project. Being a part of the RENT family is an experience that I hope never ends, so we can sing Jonathan's messages and carry them in our hearts forever.

As for me, I've just been going through the motions of a somewhat normal life. Outwardly, anyway. I've got a lot on my plate right now, so taking time for ME has been few and far between. The gym has become my sanctuary. I'm down another 8 pounds...only 30 more to go.

We finally saw RINGU the other week. I wan't impressed in the least, in fact the only thing I got out of it was my insatiable urge to find similitude between it and the American version. John: The Continuity King...

LIFE'S A SONG

Buffy:
Life’s a show and we all play our parts
And when the music starts
We open up our hearts
It’s alright if some things come out wrong
We’ll sing a happy song
And you can sing along

Where there’s life – here’s hope
Everyday’s – a gift
Wishes can – come true
Whistle while – you work
So hard – all day

To be like other girls
To fit in in this glittering world
Don’t give me songs
Don’t give me songs
Give me something to sing about
I need something to sing about

Life’s a song you don’t get to rehearse
And every single verse
Can make it that much worse
Still my friends don’t know why I ignore
The million things or more
I should be dancing for

All the joy – life sends
Family – and friends
All the twists – and bends
Knowing that – it ends

Well that depends on if they let you go
On if they know enough to know
That when you bowed, you leave crowd

There was no pain
No fear, no doubt
Til they pulled me out
Of heaven
So that’s my refrain
I live in hell
'Cause I've been expelled
From heaven
I think I was in heaven

So give me something to sing about
Please give me something

Spike:
Life’s not a song
Life isn’t bliss
Life is just this
It’s living
You get along
The pain that you feel
You only can heal
By living
You have to go on living
So one of us is living
